Movie Review

Movies are created to entertain people and tickle their imaginations. There are many types of movie genres that different people like to watch such as: horror, comedy, romance, and much more. The most recently watched movie for me was “The Usual Suspects”. This movie is a type of thriller/ action movie that gives you that chill up your spine in a way which would leave you wondering what would happen to the society if we ever had criminals like them. The story went in a rhythm in which the police tried to search who was the culprit in the massacre of an event on the pier with about twenty-five people dead.

The interesting part was that the police and the criminals had been given hints of what might have happened and that the mastermind behind all these mass murders had been the unsuspected. No one would’ve guessed it was that specific person until he finally walked straight and upright. This mastermind was pretending to be a crippled, but then when at the ending when the police released him from probation, he started to walk straight like a normal man and no one would’ve realized he was not a crippled. He acted as a crippled for all those years he has been with his partners.

The scariest thing to have known is that your identity would be unknown to the world and make them think that you are not there.

Music Review

With musical instruments, a song could be made. Songs have a role purpose for entertainment that exhibits people’s characteristics in ways where the genre may vary. In each genre of a song, such as rock, pop, punk rock, classical, scream-o, and reggae music, it all depends on the person’s mood in which he feels on that typical day. Sometimes when people are frustrated and feel like they want to let their stresses all out, it also depends on the person’s behavior and style. For an example, if I do get frustrated or stressed out, I listen to music that is soothing and to an extent of listening to pop music mixed in it. I have interviewed Woo Jeong from the junior class and he said that whenever he gets stressed out or frustrated, he listens to ballad.

Listening to punk rock or scream- o or any type of song that you scream your voice so that you do not hear or care about anyone else would be the type of song which has a loud, yet contributing rhythm to which they could later calm down.

The music that I listen to when I am excited and feel like playing is punk rock in which it does not go beyond scream- o. The reason why I really like the punk rock songs is because it gives me the energy to keep on going and it sets the mood to no restraint of stopping.

Book review

Wuthering Heights is a book that describes many characteristics of the people in the story. This is one of the most romantic genres in which Catherine and Heathcliff, who are the main characters, are brought in to each other’s bindings of love. Catherine’s father, Mr. Earnshaw, adopted Heathcliff from the streets, in which he loved him as dear as his real son, Hindley. By the time they grew up, Heathcliff and Catherine are now in love in which they are forbidden by their family. Mr. Earnshaw passes away and from then on Hindley is the head of the household. Hindley despises Heathcliff because of the fact that Heathcliff had been the only one who was loved by Mr. Earnshaw. Because of this, Hindley has ordered Heathcliff to eat outside and sleep in the sheds like a dog.

Throughout the story Heathcliff and Catherine both go up to Thrushcross Grange for some entertainment by watching the Linton’s play indoor badminton. As they were laughing while spying on them, the Linton’s watchdog chases them both and bites Catherine on the ankle and she is then taken care of by the Linton’s. The Linton’s were disgusted by Heathcliff’s wild behavior and background that they kicked him out. This led to the disturbance in their relationships because the Linton’s head son, Edgar Linton, had fallen in love with Catherine that he has given her everything she desired, from expensive clothing to accessories.

Heathcliff is bound to run away from Wuthering Heights to obtain revenge by becoming wealthy with power. Several years later, he has returned to Wuthering Heights with the wealth and power he desired. Catherine is rather happy than being scared of Heathcliff about his powers; however, Edgar is more afraid of Heathcliff that he orders his servants to take him out of his house, without even trying himself to take him out.
