What is your favorite time of year?

From summer, spring, winter and fall Christmas brings joy, full of love and family laughter. To see the little boys and girls at their best waiting for Santa’s surprise Christmas morning, music and food which brings family from far closer and special moments every year. During this time of the year I believe it is the fullest of magical mysteries. Its like this feeling that you can’t resist, a feeling to every year that makes you so anxious and the excitement that you can not describe. Also a year the just can’t be explained and gives you a sort of chill or a knot in your stomach. The peace it brings on a cold silent night, sitting in front of the Christmas tree as Christmas musical plays, a relaxation you just indulge yourself into. But to bear in mind of the little things we have that people don’t. A time of year to be thankful and that for those that have it at worse may have a guardian angle from every prayer they receive. A life time story I will not forget was that my dad was out of job and my parents told me to be careful because of finance troubles. I remember sharing to God all I wanted or wished was for my dad to have a job. Though it tool several weeks for my prayer to be answered it was. Having my dad happy or my mom is the most valuable Christmas present ever to receive. Christmas brings the ugliest out of the people. From the poorest of the poor out in the streets the meaning of Christmas opens up the eyes of others. To see the richest of the rich give back not from the things they think is good, but the difference of having them see how much every penny’s worth and the meaning of giving. Though now these days as the economy is down and out of place, as tradition we are thankful for having our family near and for those that are far in our hearts. Christmas should not be a time of competing how much spent, or purchasing for brand names but the even it self to with people you love and honor the birth of Christ. Others out there that have a different opinion, one that I have encountered in a bible study. I recall having the speaker point out that the 25th of December really is not the birth of Christ. How it is until today is unknown, only this time of the year we only celebrate the birth of our Christ. Unlike how it is in their parish, it is not only one particular day they celebrate the birth of Christ it is every single day whether it would be in or out of church they celebrate the birth of Christ. Invite of more participant of attending their bible studies. Though what they believe in is different from how I was taught, they did point out something I did agree on of the celebration of the birth of Christ in our out the church. My opinion to that was that I can’t say that I’m not allowed to believe what was lectured at the same time I can’t say that I don’t believe. The birth of Christ is still a mystery or so I’ve heard. Every year until now for every Christmas wish – for prayers of those that are in need of help and thanks to God for everything he has given. Christmas is the key to having everyday be thankful for and having it bring mysteries but wonderful memories we never tend fade from our hearts. There’s no words that may come upon me to expand what it is during that time of year jus makes it so special.

Fishing memories

I remember when I was a little kid, my dad took me fishing. He did not take me alongside him when he went fishing in the cliffs. Since I was a beginner and a small kid, he took me to the dock and taught me how to cast the fishing line and how to reel it in, when you know that the fish rather took the bait and ran, or I actually have caught a fish.

After fishing in the dock for several months, my dad one day took me on a different course. I was wondering what he was up to and where we were going, but then I then found out that we were going to a new fishing ground around the cliff. I was shocked and amazed by how beautiful the scenery was. I became in love with fishing and I would try to go whenever it was available. Never have I had so much fun while fishing, because of the reason of feeling the breeze come up while you fish near the cliffs edge. Another thing that has amazed me was the size of the fish that you would catch on the cliff, compared to the fishes caught on the dock.

A once in a lifetime experience of exciting and adventurous times of fishing has given me many memories of the times I have spent together with my dad. It was a father- son bonding. We fished at night and while we fished I was amazed in awe of how beautiful the stars were and how much there were up on the sky.

This is one of the most memorable things that I have experience throughout my life as I have lived. I am still in love with fishing; however it is not so much fun anymore because of the decrease in population of fishes.

Crazy Memories

It all started on the day that I have left Tinian to go to Guam. I was sixth grade then and I had been placed to go to Untalan Middle School. This school was said to be one of the best public school there is in Guam. So as I attended this school, I had been introduced to many friends by struggling to “fit” amongst others in school. On the contrary, I took swimming lessons and I had always loved to swim. I joined a club and I had become well built after six months. People’s perspective point of view on me had changed, and I had more confidence in myself to become more popular.

I had no experience in relationships, and sixth grade was only a mere practice towards something great during my seventh grade. I also attended church only because my guardians were religious believers. During my stay and visiting the church, I met many new friends and I have been more active in activities involving the church.

Seventh grade came, and I had enough experience to start a new life of being who I am and becoming more known throughout the school. I quickly had a girlfriend and we stayed together for more than a year, but we had our ups and down’s in which almost broke us apart. That reason was because of my popularity. Many girls had come to flirt with me and I did not know too much of an experience to detect that they had been flirting with me, until I realized that my girlfriend was crying, sad, and never wanted to talk to me.

This is my crazy memories of my middle school years. I have learned many things from my girlfriend: things that I should do and not do to make her happy and satisfy myself.

What's my Luxury Like?

My type of luxury is something that I really can afford to happen in reality. I dream big, but in case I do not accomplish my goal of my dream, I have backups that are useful towards living a great life.

My first type of luxury is to go to college and finish with a great start to a great finish. I would love to be introduced into a great business company that I would be great at. It would be a life’s long wish to become the person my parents think of me as: wearing a tuxedo and going to work, doing my work sitting down and earning a lot of money.

If this plan does not work, I would go to plan B and graduate from college with an outstanding reputation. Then I would strive to work for the government, in which I would obtain great advantages and to work as what my parents pictured all of their kids to be when they grow up successful.

Thirdly, I would love to graduate college with a good state of reputation towards my professors and work alongside my sister’s boyfriend. It is not much of a choice of words and desire of what I want to do, but I wished to stay by his side and work my way up into becoming someone that can be respected as.

Lastly, I have an older cousin who is a close relative on my mother’s side and he has introduced me into being a major in construction. I could never want anything better but to work by his side diligently because of the dangerousness of the job.

Favorite Songs/ Quotes

My favorite song is Arms of Sorrow, sang by Killswitch Engage. The reason why I love this bands song is because of the ominous and unique way of playing the instruments. It is the same as all the other artists; however, this band’s vocalist has a unique voice in which I feel as if I am getting sucked into the song, getting addicted to the song by his metronome.

The song reminds me of this special person who I met four years ago. We are still best friends and although we do not see each other due to being in different islands, Facebook and MySpace helps with the updates on each other and how each of us have been. MySpace has been rather not useful now-a-days so I use Facebook. Facebook is something similar to MySpace; however, Facebook is somewhat better compared to how the design and simplicity is made of.

“Imprisoned, inside this mind… hiding behind the empty smiles. So simple, it is not much made, crawling back into the dark”

“Running, always running, into the distance… stop me before I bleed again. The echoes of my voice have followed me down. The shadows I cast follow me down. Deeper I’m falling, into the arms of sorrow… Buildings are descending, into the arms of sorrow.”

Christmas Break Journal

During this Christmas, I will be able to visit Guam. I have been unable to visit Guam for almost four years now and I have grown ill of this Island called Saipan. It would be lovely to experience Guam in a different perspective view, where I could have fun and enjoy the many activities of meeting my friends and going to the mall.

When I lived in Guam for two years, I have not been able to go to the mall as I wished to meet with my friends. I was never allowed or permitted to go to the mall and watch movies either. Even as I would go and watch a movie in the theatres, it would only be with my sister and the guardian’s daughter. This event only ever happens every once in six months or more and it would never be fun with only the three of us.

Now that I am free from the clutches of those evil guardians, I am able to visit Guam and stay at my sister’s house for the time being. When I go there this Christmas, I will be enjoyed to see the reunion of my friends and spending a wonderful time going around the mall and having fun. The things that I was not able to do because I was imprisoned will now be unlocked and I will be able to move around freely and without consequences.

If I Met a Famous Celebrity

If I met a famous celebrity, it would most certainly be Will Smith. The reason why I want to meet him the most is because of the fact that he is one of the most brightest and brilliant person that has come to be known for his skill and talent through his movies. One of the best movies that I have seen him play was the “Pursuit of Happiness”. This heart-warming sensational movie took me aback and it has shown me another side of an unparalleled world that I have never seen before about Will Smith. He has moved my heart in a way that I could never hate him ever again. The “Pursuit of Happiness” is based on a true story in which Will Smith has been given the honor to partake in which he revealed his tears through real situations in which no one else could do.

He had a series of shows with one of them being a comedy show that has left many enjoyable remarks throughout the world. It never cease to amaze me of how his jokes are all made at the spot.

Although he was a person who had failed in life at first, he was a bright and intelligent guy who came back to show the world that he will live up his dreams and do what he loves best.

If I Were a Millionaire

If I were a millionaire I would become a person with great prestige and generosity. This is what most of the people who are millionaire’s would say, because they would rather spend half of their money by giving charity and with great respect, other than not being known by others because you only spent half of your money by paying taxation. This is something that I would not make up because of the reason why they really want to keep their reputation and not change the fact that the truth lies in which they really are greedy and do not really care for others.

Another thing that I would do if I were a millionaire is to move to the States and school there with my friends. I would bring them and make sure that we have a great house in which the securities will be tight and their parents would accept me as one of their loyal people. I want to live a life in which I could have fun and keep in touch with my best friends. And it is not only playing we will do all throughout our lives, to keep up with the money I spend each year; I must work as much as I play upon. This is the life I want to live as a millionaire because of the exciting and new adventures that would venture into my life as a new interesting thing.

My Favorite Holiday

My favorite holiday is Christmas, because it is the time where it has the most breaks from school. Also, there is another reason behind the fact that Christmas break is the day where my birthday is taken place on. As I could get presents from Christmas, I would also receive my birthday present. Even though my parents and family cook seaweed soup instead of giving me presents, I am grateful for the life they have given me, with the warm and caring ways throughout my years with them. Friends are another reason why my favorite holiday is on Christmas. They give me presents as it is my birthday, but one of the bad things is that I cannot have my birthday celebration at school. Thinking back through all the years; however, I think that it is essential to not have my birthday at school, for the fact that people who I rarely know will be like scavengers searching for food throughout the classroom and that I will have to spend more money just to feed them. I know that I can be cruel in thinking this way, but if you think of it in my type of situation where I stand, you will understand that it is the best choice to make.

It is more of a reluctant and relieved feeling that would set my mind at ease to only have my best friends come over to the beach and celebrate my birthday with barbeque and have a great time swimming throughout the day. Although it would have been a great feel to it if I was in the States, where snow would be falling down as we play snowball fights.

My Autobiography

On the spring of 2005, I set my thoughts back to the unforgettable event that me and my friends have done. That year was one of my middle school lives as a seventh grader, which I would have considered it to be the craziest year of my life. Sarcastically speaking, the only reason that I could think up of is that I was infested with the crazy hormones running through my body as well as being energetic from swimming.

My most memorable event all started when October 31 of Halloween approached. In school, we had set up a dance party in the gym, where it was a perfect place for the dance because of how big it was and the how dark it got when the lights were off.

As the dance started, there were approximately over one hundred students attending to it. During that time, I had a girlfriend and was forced to dance; however, I was not only persuaded by her, but from other girls that I have known for a short time. Because of the Halloween dance, I had been jeopardizing my relationship. While I danced with my girlfriend, this girl that I knew was eyeing me from across the dance floor and when my girlfriend said that she was tired and was going to take some rest in the benches, I was pulled away by my girlfriend’s friends. After some time of dancing with my girlfriend’s friends, I told them that I was going to go and drink; however, as I was walking across the dance floor, the girl that I knew came out of nowhere and pulled me in through the crowd of students and started dancing with me. She leaned close to me and dirty danced as I watched in shock, she persuaded me to dance with her and made sure that we would never get caught because of the crowded area.

My Favorite Genre of song

Throughout my life, there have been many songs that I have loved because of the mood and melody. There would be some genres of songs that I would not like just because of the mood I am set upon. For example, whenever I am down and sad, I usually listen to the genre "ballad," for it calms me down and makes me more relaxed. As time changes, there would be other genres of songs that you would like; however, it will not affect the relationship of your favorite genre.

In my opinion, it is best to be more open to what you listen to and look at it on the positive side. Whenever I get in the mood of doing something stupid or play a game with my friends, I would listen to rock, punk, or pop music because it gets me in the motive of destroying my enemies.

Many categories of music that I listen to all depends in the moment of how I listen to it and sometimes it comes to the point in which you can't really decide on what to listen, so all you can do is pick a random file of music and listen to it.

My Favorite Game

The game that I enjoyed the most was World of Warcraft. This Mmo rpg game is considered the best game to have been played by many other friends of mine. The game consists of people from across the world to be able to meet up in this online game with their own desirable character with different hair-do and facial expressions. As people meet and quest together, they get to learn more about each other and have a fun time raiding dungeons and killing their enemies from the other fractions. As I have mentioned, there are two fractions in this game "the Horde" and "the Alliance." The horde is made up of characters as undead, blood elves, orc, troll, and taurens. The alliance is made up of humans, night elves, dreinai, dwarves, and gnomes.

In order to make the game fair for low level players, blizzard corporation made high level players not able to attack the lowbies as they quest in their areas; however, as they get as high as level 40, they will automatically be considered as an equal enemy to the other fraction. Sometimes you will encounter a jerk that does not like to be respectful and will always be killing you. When this would happen, I will be angry and call my friend who is of much higher level and we will be hunting "camping" him down, until he logs off.

I like this game very much because I am able to meet up with my friends, play together, and have fun. When you are playing, you can feel the adrenaline while you battle others and as you achieve a part of your goal and obtain many friends through the game.

If I could bring someone back to life, who would it be?

If I could bring one person back to life, it would be Steve Irwin. Ever since I was small, I remember that I used to love watching his show on animal planet. All the time he would have that broad Australian accent that I would try and mock him. It never ceased to stop and fascinate me with wonders of how he could wrestle a crocodile with such little protection. As I watch him wrestle in TV, I would follow him and wrestle my pillow making sound effects that was clearly unnecessary otherwise. He is a true hero to everyone who loves the natural habitat and wildlife. As he is being filmed, he makes an outstanding performance in the timing of the event and plays along with his interesting skills of cautiously sneaking up to the crocodile and energetically launching himself wrestling the crock with his might.

Steve Irwin owns a zoo that he named “Australia Zoo” in 1992 in which it was the same year where he appeared in a one- off reptile and wildlife special for television. He met his wife, Terri Raines at a park, while performing a demonstration. Now Terri Raines is considered to be in parts of the show that Steve performs. Under Irwin’s leadership, the operations improved to create a zoo, the television series, and the International Crocodile Rescue.

In the year of 2006, he died from being struck by a stingray’s barb while filming in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. In his honor, the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society ship was named after Steve as “MV Steve Irwin.” In 2006, Irwin provided his voice for the 2006 animated film Happy Feet, as an elephant seal named Trev. This film was dedicated to Irwin, as he died during post- production.

In memory of him, I will remember of him as my favorite crocodile hunter that gave many enjoyments to kids throughout the world, being a hero and admiration of others that would soon realize the reason why he loved his job with passion.

My Favorite Poem

When you feel sad and betrayed
Who can you count on every single day?
When you feel lost and alone
Who will be there for you in every way?
When you've made mistakes and bad decisions
Who can you count on to tell you you're wrong?
When you feel you can't go on
Who will be there with a feel-better song?
Look into your heart and you will find
That person you can trust is not far away.
Look deep into yourself, don't give up,
For if you do, it's yourself you'll betray.
When you're looking for answers
To all your questions and dreams,
There is one person you can count on,
It's impossible, I know, it seems.
But take a few moments to look deeper inside.
Look into your heart and there you will see.
You'll be surprised when you find out
That you've been looking at ME.
By: Trudy Starling

The reason why I have chosen this poem is because it touches the inner most feelings of my heart. One thing that is needed to everyone is one friend and without a friend to be there for you, it becomes hard to bear the fact that you think as if you are alone. There is always one person who is there and will be there through the hardest times in your life. He/she will help you and guide you through a place that you will appreciate later on in life and stop and think to yourself and laugh about them.
Friends are there for you and you must appreciate the fact that they are there for you. It is not always fun and laughter that comes with friendship, but also sorrow and tears that would often get you guys even closer. Never leave a friend feeling left behind, for it will also become known to yourself that you have been torn apart by little reasons in a short matter of time. Even after you have gone through all those times of hardship in order to get so far, it is a simple mistake that leads and builds up onto a bigger mistake if you do not forgive and be forgiven.

My Favorite Book

My favorite book was titled “The five people you meet in Heaven”. At first when I had read the cover of the book, I was thinking of how it would not have been much of a book to read at all; however, the interesting part about this book is that it starts out as a day where everything seems to be going as the usual. Eddy “the maintenance” is now 80 years old and has been the owner of the amusement park ever since he was around his thirties. As he was remembering his past experiences while relaxing, his eyes suddenly jerks open from the sound of a lady screaming. One of the cables from the Ferris wheel have been broken and now it was a race against time that would determine the fate of the people in the Ferris wheel. Although they were managed to help all the people inside it, as the cable became loose and snapped, there was a little kid that was helplessly frozen in place from fear and was just below the Ferris wheel when Eddy raced into action, moving as fast as he could and in desperate situation he leaped to push the girl so that at least she would be saved instead of him.
The experience that he endures during his time in “heaven” is the part where all of the important events occurred in order for him to understand many of his past mistakes and regrets to forgive the burden that is within his heart.

This I Believe

I believe that friendship needs to be demonstrated with the act of kindness. It is not the usual idea of knowing whom you are speaking, but knowing the actual purpose of feeling comfortable and willing to open up to them that makes the word friendship a very special meaning. Many times, I believe that the person you see everyday is the person you will know for the rest of your life; however, life is a fact of illustration of unknown happenings that would anonymously pull the both of you away.
Three years ago I transferred from Guam to Saipan and attended Saipan International School. At first, I was ashamed and embarrassed when many people stared at me. As it was my first day of school, I met a classmate who always acted a bit weird from all those other people. He tended to stand out more than anyone else in class. He introduced himself to me as if he had known me for a long time and touched me as if I were his girlfriend. Three years passed, and we have become the best friends that would rather stand out and show we have become brothers from different mothers. Till this day, I enjoy the things that we do and talk about, whether it is about school subjects, girls, and personal things.
At one point, a friend may become more than a friend. That person becomes a “lover”. Sometimes it takes more than one time to get the right person, but in the end it is all the worthwhile. Most people in life do have to try more than once, and through the excruciating pain of losing a first love you become stronger and stronger. When you find that one special person, they become you’re everything, even though that person wasn’t your first love. Everything meaning, best friend, soul mate, companion, etc..
Friendship is actually one of the most important facts in life. You see, not only are friends there for just hanging around when you’re bored. They’re there for the laughs, the moments, and the makings of memories. Friends are there for whenever you need to tell secrets, or you just want to get away from the world and laugh as hard as you can. Some friends last for a life time, and others are there for those few moments. True friends are not the people that you’ve known the longest, but are the people who know you the most.
